I lived in Charlottesville for 8 years. Was married there. Spent some time driving along skyline drive. I even spent a day or two hiking up to humpback rock. I always thought it was one of the prettiest places anyone could live. Spent a fair amount of time gazing at the blue ridge mountains while jogging with my black lab outside Charlottesville. Your post brought back some great memories of my time there and the beauty of nature around skyline drive. Thanks...
You are absolutely a beast! Look what you have accomplished! Marathon in the Shennies! Keeping a pace of close to 4 miles an hour with a heavy pack! I’m so impressed. I loved the Shenandoah’s. Standby because you are getting to that magical place, which is when you don’t want to leave! It happens. Carryon my friend. Loving the Camino in Portugal. What a splendid way to continue my walk. Much love, Geisha Girl
Enjoy the Camino. Light a candle for me in Santiago — if you go to Fatima, then there, too—, allowing my prayer to “rise like incense” (Ps 141). Let us keep praying for each other. The colors are beautiful in the Blue Ridge; I’m just hoping they last for McAfee Knob.
Beautiful! Fall is such a beautiful time of the year. Enjoy Fr. Cassian! We're praying for you!

David, I went over Humpback today, as the Blue Ridge was in full autumn colors — spectacular.
